What does a notice sign mean?

A notice sign communicates important information that is not related to personal injury, such as company policies, procedures or property protection messages. It uses a blue header under the ANSI Z535 standards.

Can a notice sign be used to warn about a hazard?

No. The ANSI Z535 standards reserve notice signs for non-injury messages. Hazards that could cause personal injury require a caution, warning or danger sign matched to the severity of the hazard.

What color are notice signs?

Notice signs use a safety blue header with white italic lettering, as defined by ANSI Z535.1 and Z535.2.
