Custom barcode and QR code labels
Barcode and QR code labels printed from your data for assets, rack locations, parts and equipment, on stocks chosen for where they will be scanned.
Symbologies and data
Common linear symbologies are Code 128 for general alphanumeric data and Code 39 where older scanners expect it. QR codes hold longer data such as a URL to a manual or a maintenance record. Send the data as a spreadsheet with one row per label, name the symbology your scanners read, and say whether the human-readable text should print under the code.
Test before the full run
Every barcode order comes with a proof that shows the first and last records. Print or display it and scan it with your own equipment before you approve: scanners, lighting and distance differ, and checking the data is the buyer's part of the job.
Stock for scanning conditions
- Indoor shelves and offices: polyester labels.
- Outdoor assets, yards and vehicles: outdoor polyester with a laminate, or aluminum tags.
- Rack and floor locations that see forklift traffic: abrasion-resistant laminates.
- High heat: anodized aluminum, which the catalog lists with the highest temperature tolerance.
Typical figures are on the materials page as catalog data, not a specification.
Barcodes with safety labels
A barcode or QR code can sit on a safety label too, linking to a procedure or recording an inspection. Add one in the online label designer, or see QR codes and URLs for ideas.

Common questions
Which barcode types can you print?
Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, UPC-A and QR codes are the usual choices. Name the one your scanners read in your request.
How do I send the data?
As a CSV or Excel file with one row per label, in print order. Include any text that prints beside the code.
Can QR codes link to our own web pages?
Yes. Each label can carry its own URL; keep the link working for as long as the label stays in place.
Will the codes scan?
Scan the proof with your own equipment before approving; size, contrast and quiet zones are set for scanning, and your test confirms it in your conditions.
Can barcode labels go outdoors?
Yes, on outdoor polyester with a laminate or on aluminum. Tell us about sun, chemicals and temperatures.
