Identify every asset the same way
Identification labels answer one question: which piece of equipment is this? An asset tag ties a pump, panel or vehicle to its record in your maintenance system; a nameplate states what it is; a valve tag names the valve on a drawing. Unlike safety labels, they are read by technicians and auditors over the life of the equipment, so legibility and durability come first.

Numbers, barcodes and your register
Send the asset numbers as a range or a spreadsheet. Add a barcode or QR code when technicians scan tags into a maintenance system, and print the company name or a contact line where tags may travel. Check the first and last records on the proof; the data printed is the data supplied.
Materials that last as long as the asset
Anodized aluminum and metalphoto suit heat, abrasion and long service; polyester suits indoor equipment; outdoor polyester handles sun and rain. Attachment matters too: adhesive, rivets, screws or ties. Typical figures are on the materials page as catalog data, not a specification.

Yes. Send a range or the list from your asset register, and each tag prints with its own number.
Which tag lasts longest?
Metal tags such as anodized aluminum and metalphoto suit long service in heat and abrasion. Tell us the conditions so the stock can be confirmed.
Can tags have mounting holes?
Yes. Give the hole size and position, or choose an adhesive back instead.
How is this different from equipment safety labels?
Identification labels say which asset it is. Labels that tell operators how to use a machine safely are on custom equipment labels.
Can tags include a QR code?
Yes. A QR code can link each asset to its record or manual.
